Psalm 61:2, “From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
Insight & Encouragement
Overwhelmed, discouraged, defeated, worried, a failure, to just name a few of the storms life will bring our way. No matter where you are in life, you have storms and trials. How do you get through the storms? Do you allow your heart to grow faint or do you rise up above them and fight? I’d like to say that through every storm I rise up and defeat it, but to be honest there are times I have let the storms defeat me and bring me down. Is this what the Lord wants in for our lives? Simply, No. God wants us to find shelter and rest in Him. He wants us to allow Him to guide and lead us through the storms. The Lord never promised that our lives would be free from the storms, but He always promises to “lead me to the rock that is higher than I”. To help us overcome and conquer the storm with His help. Stand firm, seek Him first, and you will overcome the storms life throws at you.
Heavenly Father, thank you for your guidance and direction through life and the storms that I am faced with. Thank you for never leaving me or letting me go through them alone. With you by my side, I know that everything will be okay, and I find comfort in this. I pray for those who are facing storms and feeling defeated, that they may know that they are not alone and you will walk by them through it all. In your name I pray, Amen.
